7th Cavalry Troopers in Color WIP 2

More of my cavalry troopers during painting. I found a mark on the base but don't know what it means. Any idea?

Since I decided to paint the 7th cavalry figures, I've been mulling over giving them either a toy soldier look (bright base colors, solid blocks with no shading and hi-lites -- but not glossy like traditonal toy soldiers) or a scale model look (with blending, weathering, etc)

I'm leaning towards a a toy soldier lookwithout the gloss. what do you think?

Airfix 1:32 Afrika Korps

The Airfix range of military figures is one of the iconic brands of plastic toy soldiers I grew up with. Airfix is a UK manufacturer of plastic scale model kits founded in 1939 by Humbrol and currently owned by Hornby, a famous UK model railway brand. This is the latest reissue of their classic Deutsche Afrika Korps, the German expeditionary force in Libya and Tunisia during the North African Campaign of World War II. The box contains 14 figures.
