1:72 U.S. Infantry

Another set of Airfix recasts I got at a local dollar-store. This time, thse are copies of the Airfix US Infantry set. The figures are pretty much the quality you'd expect from recasts, with soft details, flash and moldlines.

This set however, only has 5 poses, lacking 2 prone poses present in the original set.

  1. Hi,

Not too bad considering they're recasts and at least you get the left-handed officer with the pistol too.

How do they size up against the Airfix originals ?

    Cheers,

    John

  2. Hi John,

They're a bit bigger -- not much -- but softer in detail

Airfix 1:32 Afrika Korps

The Airfix range of military figures is one of the iconic brands of plastic toy soldiers I grew up with. Airfix is a UK manufacturer of plastic scale model kits founded in 1939 by Humbrol and currently owned by Hornby, a famous UK model railway brand. This is the latest reissue of their classic Deutsche Afrika Korps, the German expeditionary force in Libya and Tunisia during the North African Campaign of World War II. The box contains 14 figures.
