Wee Men Plastic Toy Soldiers

It's a lazy Sunday and I've decided to crack open some boxes of deliveries that have been stored in a corner of my hobby room. Here are just a few pictures with more of the individual sets to come. enjoy!

  I picked up a couple of Italeri reissues of some ESCI figure sets. Here, I cracked open the British Paratroopers "Red Devils" set. The Red Devils are in standard issue Denison jackets, steel helmets -- sme with hessian camouflage--- and equipped with a variety of sten guns, Lee Enfields and Bren guns and a PIAT (though incorrectly modelled with a bipod instead of a monopod.)

Italeri reissue of the ESCI U.S. Elite Forces set. 15 sharply sculpted poses, some in nice action stances and armed with a variety of weapons such as M16 rifles, an M79 grenade launcher, a combat shotgun and a M203 40mm grenade launcher.

 Airfix figures on a small diorama base awaiting the completion of the tank. The groundwork is made fom Polituff, an automotive body filler and the grass and ground work are a mix of Woodland Scenics products, twigs and colored tea leaves. The tank is an underscaled Matchbox Sherman that is still awaiting painting, hopefully soon.
